It is said that farmers have not paid social security and that it is not wrong to receive more than 100 per month's pension, if it is “white food”.
That's a mean word.
Young people grow land and produce food, and when farmers are idle, they work on a voluntary basis, repair reservoirs, dig canals and roads. Why, in the late years, does a man who has worked his whole life for his country suffer from the most basic security of life?
In 2022, the average monthly pension for urban workers was approximately 2900 yuan and for urban and rural residents about 179 yuan. There are also large regional differences: the level of pensions is higher in urban and rural areas, such as Shanghai, and many rural and middle-western older persons still arrive at more than 100 per month.
A hundred dollars or more. What can I do? Buy some rice, buy some food, buy some more pills, it's gone for a month. I'm sick and I can't go to the hospital. I can't afford to buy them. Seventy-eight-year-olds have to work in the fields, either they are idle or they are free to do or have no money.
Some people use the word “overpayment” to jam farmers' mouths. The increase is certainly justified, but the problem is that today's pension insurance system is not always available.

From the establishment of the New China to the total elimination of agricultural taxes in 2006, a generation of farmers paid food and agricultural taxes, and assumed the burden of the “triple-tip-fives” and so on; Farmers work on a voluntary basis, repair reservoirs, dig canals, roads, and many carry their own rations and tools, doing real work. The harvest is bad, and the food is not scarce. Poor price cuttings for agricultural and industrial products have also allowed agriculture and rural areas to provide important support for the industrialization of the country.
The system of old-age insurance for urban workers has been in place since the 1980s, and the reform of the pre-eligible part of the workforce, whose continuous length of service is duly considered to be the same as the length of contributory service, can be used to address the historical problems of the interface between the old and the new system. What about the farmers? The public food they have paid, the agricultural taxes they have paid, and the compulsory work they have done, are not automatically recorded today as contributions to the individual pension insurance.
One goes into the accounts, one goes into history.
Food is not social security, and the part-time workers can't just discount money. But you can't say that “the farmers' past payments should not be taken into account” because the books have changed. The historical age of workers can be determined by institutional reform, and how can public food not be equated? Is the food station not stamped or is the reservoir without their handprints?

We can discuss how to calculate, how to finance, how to raise standards step by step, but not “without social security”, to wipe out the pay of an era, let alone the gaps left by the system, and end up in the farmers’ own faults.
Good thing someone's already running for this.
In October 2026, lawyers in Jukay submitted legislative proposals to improve the basic pension for farmers, proposing to study the establishment of a “History Contribution Pension” system, which would provide greater security for rural elderly persons who had paid public food before the agricultural tax was lifted and who had worked as part of the labour force, and to give priority to older persons.
This is a legislative recommendation and not a policy that has been implemented. But at least it has brought out a long-standing problem: can the historical contributions that have not been recorded in the social security contributions record be reasonably addressed in today ' s pension security system?
I'm particularly concerned with the "prioritization of older people". Because this group of old people, including my mother, can't afford to wait.
Sixty-seven, seventy, bending, pain in the leg, the medicine, and the pain of what to eat and how much to pay for a day's visit. (b) The fear that the child will be hard enough to work outside because of the illness of the child; Some people are still standing on a few acres, because that's the last income they can catch.
They do not argue, write recommendations, and do not understand how to express their claims to the authorities. They were just used to being patient, to being bitter and to saving up their savings. But silence does not mean that they are not bitter. Nor does it mean that they do not need help.
The Government Work Report 2026 states that the basic pension is increased by another $20. It's up to the point. But the money is still not enough. It's okay for young people to wait three years, for 80-year-olds to wait three years, and it's probably forever.

We also do not dispute whether farmers should receive as many as retired urban workers. We ask: is there a more specific response to the priority given to older persons, the steady increase in basic pensions and the gradual reduction of the urban-rural gap?
This is not charity, this is debt repayment! What is wrong with a man who has given his life for society when he is young and wants to live a decent life? We always say we're rich together, we say we're rich together, we say we're all good. Are these old people who have paid for their food, built water reservoirs, built up their country?
Don't let people who have paid their whole lives, when they get to the last steps of their lives, still worry about over a hundred dollars.
They've been waiting for their whole lives. How long do they have to wait?
Readers, let's work with lawyer Yukay. One more person, one more push; One more question, a little more chance of change.

Thank you for your reading, and if you are going to go, light your thumb, arrow and love at the bottom right of the screen, which is an encouragement and support for me. Thanks again!
