Shein, a Chinese-founded, Singapore-based fast-fashion company, has once again come under scrutiny for its supply chain and forced labor risks after submitting its initial public offering (IPO) filing in Hong Kong. A review of the IPO document by Reuters shows that while Shein lists its supply chain, reputation, and regulatory risks, it does not specifically mention the controversy surrounding Xinjiang cotton or directly address the forced labor allegations made by the US and human rights organizations over the years.
