They detained Li Xincheng's father in the village committee office and forced him to sign a demolition contract they had prepared.

This detention and forced signing of the contract directly led to Li Xincheng's family not receiving compensation for their homestead, which had a clear property right and official historical inheritance. The two town officials who implemented the "illegal detention and forced transaction" are still at large, and Li Xincheng has requested that the disciplinary committee and supervision commission investigate the case.

According to the 2018 shed reform and demolition policy documents issued by Gaomi City, the villagers of Diding Village, including Li Xincheng's family, were eligible to benefit from the project. Those who needed to be relocated could receive housing, and those who needed compensation could receive monetary compensation.

However, this welfare policy was not fully implemented for Li Xincheng's family.

Li Xincheng said that the reason why his family's homestead with clear property rights and official historical inheritance was not certified and compensated was likely because he had offended Yu Mou and Meng Moumou, the town officials responsible for the demolition and certification.

Li Xincheng recalled that in 2018, he had posted a few news articles about the demolition on a WeChat group for villagers. However, the two town officials, Yu Mou and Meng Moumou, who were involved in the illegal detention and forced transaction, are still at large.
